Digital tools are selected for several reasons:

1. They can help the student understand what is to be learned (learning outcome descriptors).
2. They support the student in achieving the described learning outcomes (learning activities).
3. They can help determine whether the student has achieved the expected learning outcomes, or to what extent (assessment).
